History of Nomadism

Nomadism has an interesting and relevant history for todays Digital Nomads. Journeyman date back to medieval times, and are still common in Germany and France.

Prior to 1980's, nomads had very little (if any) reliance on anything that’s digital. It was back in 1983 when Steve Roberts set out on his computerised recumbent bicycle to cover 14,000 miles around the US. A Bad Reputation

In history, nomads/nomadism have always been regarded as a by-product of the cultural evolution of sedentary farmers and as a permanent threat. They were considered primitive, backward, and incapable of improving their living situation.
