Learning Assets

Here we list sources of open learning materials that are of long term value. Links to these resources should not break, and we need to find low cost ways to host and distribute these assets between learners, and learning institutions.

In the Viral Academy we propose placing these stable long term learning assets in a new form of Education Commons that works along side the Wikipedia Commons but us to store and distribute enables contextualised learning materials, as well as consensually agreed materail.

We intend to use IPFS to create a Distributed Dropbox for educational resources that is governed and stewarded by it's users.

This Learning Dropbox can be used to facilitate distributed learning experiences, between institutions, or conference venues. This is a key technological part of our Connected Learning Spaces technology.
